A very warm welcome to our new Health and Well-being Work Group Officer Ariyana!
Ariyana was born in Los Angeles, California in the United States and over the last 15 years has called 9 different countries in Asia and South America home.
During her travels, she’s held an array of diverse professional titles, including professional Muay Thai fighter, amateur Rugby Player, all the way to Creative Marketing Director for an entertainment promotions company.
Before moving to Australia, Ariyana was living in Hong Kong working as an Operations & Marketing Manager while also fitness instructing for a specialty gym that focused on powerlifting and female fitness.
But now working at Aquamoves, Ari says she is excited for the opportunity to get directly connected to the community in Shepparton.
“Being able to translate my love of connecting with people alongside health and well-being is what I am looking forward to the most. One thing I have learned over the last 15+ years, is everyone everywhere shares similar values. A love for family, friends, and a desire to live their best life. The best way to get on that track is to prioritise your health and well-being, and have fun doing it. That is what I want to inject into my role here at Aquamoves.”
One of Ariyana’s current hobbies is creating videos for her kids YouTube Channel; ‘Chirpee Kids’, where she stars as Chirpee, a human bird that loves all things learning.
“It was created specifically for my young daughter. My husband is my camera man and he also helps me write the songs. We make content that we want our daughter to see and learn. Since it’s filmed all around Shepparton, we also like making the connection for her when we go to the places Chirpee has been. I still don’t know if she gets that I am Chirpee, but it’s cute so far seeing her think it’s someone else. Creating these videos involves my whole family and that’s the point for me.”
And although she has lived in a lot of different places around the world, Ariyana says she absolutely loves Australia and Shepparton specifically.
“I can’t think of another place I would rather be raising my child. I’ve received such a warm welcome from the people I’ve met here in Shepparton. So if you ever see me out and about, say hello – I am always up for a chat
