Yesterday we released a statement detailing a member of the Aquamoves team had been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.
We were able to confirm our staff member contracted the virus via a community connection, not from the Aquamoves centre, and acted immediately and responsibly. The full statement can be viewed by clicking here.
We are pleased to let you know we’ve since been informed by GV Health that the staff member was not in their ‘infectious period’ when working at the centre on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 August. This means anyone attending Aquamoves on those days are not considered at risk. We are also pleased to confirm our team member remains in good health while in self-isolation.
Aquamoves underwent a deep clean yesterday in accordance with Council procedures and the centre is once again being accessed by our team and contractors.
We want to say a very big thank you to everyone who reached out to us since the news was released. We have been overwhelmed with support and it was a timely reminder of the fantastic and caring community we have here at Aquamoves.
Our team now looks forward to launching a number of exciting new projects in the coming days and weeks, including bringing you online group fitness classes and launching the Aquamoves App, which will provide our community with a high level of customised health and fitness support.
Please be reassured that we’re back on board and available to support you with your health and fitness needs.
Keep safe, stay well and be kind to one another.
