Aquamoves Team Member Megan Howard has been nominated in the 'Membership Sales Award' category for outstanding achievement.
Aquatics Recreation Victoria (ARV) hold annual awards for outstanding achievement in the aquatic and fitness industry. You may remember our very own Bec Parris won the Group Exercise Instructor award last year!
Megan grew up working in her family’s mixed business (milkbar), an environment that was seven days per week and that encouraged her to make personal connections with her customers and notice the little things. It instilled in her a passion for customer service and sales from an early age. Megan went on to work in business development and sales management roles for national brands such as Bras ’n’ Things, Arnott’s and Simplot.
Megan joined the Aquamoves team as a casual Customer Service Officer in 2010 and followed as a Duty Supervisor in 2012. She then moved into the role of Aquamoves Membership Sales and Revenue Coordinator in 2015.
Key to Megan’s success is her passion for communication. She believes listening to and understanding the needs of the customer is first and foremost. It is this passion and commitment to understanding the Greater Shepparton community and her ability to build rapport and relationships with people from all different backgrounds and interest levels that truly sets Megan apart.
Megan utilises her attuned listening and communication skills to find out what motivates her customers and then matches their needs to the extensive programs that the centre offers. She has grown to become a key leader within the Aquamoves team and has been responsible for mentoring a team of 30 customer service officers and centre administration staff.
Megan is genuinely motivated by and committed to the community and Shepparton. She is the mother of two boys aged 11 and 14 years and wants Shepparton to be a great for them now and into the future.
