The vision of Aquamoves is to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of the Greater Shepparton community, one individual at a time.
In line with Aquamoves terms and conditions, Greater Shepparton City Council’s proposed 2023/2024 Fees and Charges will be considered for adoption at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 20 June 2023.
If adopted the proposed average increase of three (3) per cent will apply to Aquamoves fees and charges, effective from 1 July 2023.
Aquamoves’ operational and maintenance costs continue to rise, especially in the area of utilities, which have experienced a greater than normal increase during the past 12 months. Passing on some costs through small fee increases is necessary and responsible management, allowing us to maintain the centre’s long term viability.
As Aquamoves enters its 26th year of operation, Greater Shepparton City Council continues to invest significant capital across all areas of the centre to ensure the facility remains at the forefront of the leisure and fitness industry, and meets community needs and expectation for years to come.
Council delivered on a number of capital improvement projects at Aquamoves during the 2022/2023 financial year, including the installation of new lockers, the purchasing of new gym equipment and the significant upgrade of floor coverings throughout the centre; which are set to be installed in June.
In the 2023/2024 financial year Council will make further investment in the centre, with innovative accessibility improvements for the customer service desk, restoration works for the flood damaged Raymond West building (including the change room spaces and swimming club rooms), heating of the outdoor 50m pool and the purchase of more gym equipment.
