The vision of Aquamoves is to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of our community one individual at a time.
In line with Aquamoves terms and conditions, Greater Shepparton City Council’s proposed 2019/2020 Fees and Charges will be considered at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 18 June 2019. If adopted the proposed average increase of three (3) per cent will apply to Aquamoves fees and charges, effective from 1 July 2019.
Aquamoves’ operational and maintenance costs continue to rise, especially in the area of utilities, which have experienced a greater than 30 per cent increase during the past 12 months. Passing on some costs through small fee increases is necessary and responsible management, allowing us to maintain the centre’s long term viability.
As Aquamoves enters its 22nd year of operation, Greater Shepparton City Council continues to invest significant capital across all areas of the centre to ensure the facility remains at the forefront of the leisure and fitness industry and meets community need and expectation for years to come.
Council delivered on a number of major projects at Aquamoves during the 2018/2019 financial year, including the installation of new gas boilers responsible for heating the indoor pools, the purchase of new gym equipment and the significant upgrade of flooring in the gym and group fitness areas, set to be installed in July.
In the 2019/2020 financial year Council will make further investment into the centre with innovative accessibility improvements to the aquatic environment, heating of the outdoor 50m pool and the installation of a photovoltaic (solar power) system on the Aquamoves roof to decrease energy costs. New pool water circulation pumps, air conditioning units for the gym, RPM bikes and more gym equipment will also be delivered.
