Aquamoves and the Shepparton TriClub have formed a unique partnership to encourage more local people to participate in triathlons.
Aquamoves will host the Sunset Series in November and this is an ideal opportunity for many people to take part in a triathlon.
Shepparton TriClub spokesperson Garry Leed said the Sunset Series is a good foundation for people to experience a triathlon and decide if they want to pursue it further.
“The triathlon season kicks off from November onwards as the warmer weather approaches,” says Mr Leed.
“Our first major event is the Shepparton Half Ironman and the Hexman on Sunday 10 December.”
“We encourage people to participate in the Sunset Series to determine whether they like it,” says Mr Leed.
To support new and more experienced triathlon participants, Aquamoves has introduced a six week training program which focuses on increasing fitness levels to help improve and develop swimming, cycling and running ability.
Centre Manager Leanne Mulcahy said the program has been developed by an experienced personal trainer who specialises in the field of triathlons.
“Damien Harrison has extensive experience behind him and has structured the program to ensure it focuses on stroke correction, running and cycling technique,” explains Ms Mulcahy.
“This program will help people who are new to triathlons, as well as your more experienced triathletes,” she says.
The Sunset Series will take place on Wednesday 15, Wednesday 22 and Wednesday 29 November at Aquamoves. For more information about the series or the training package phone 5832 9400.
