Aquamoves is preparing for the 2013 Tough Mudder event and is running a training program for anyone interested in taking part.
Tough Mudder is a hardcore 18-20 kilometre obstacle course designed by British Special Forces to test your all round strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.
Aquamoves Manager Lindy Baldi said the training would prepare participants for Tough Mudder.
"This training will give you the opportunity to work towards the January 2013 Tough Mudder challenge with a team," Ms Baldi said
"Aquamoves has already submitted a team to the challenge and we encourage those people interested to register as part of our team.
"Working with a group of likeminded people and two trained instructors will give you accountability to ensure that you not only turn up to each session but push yourself to accomplish results.
"Even if you don't want to do the Tough Mudder event, you can still complete the training; however, the training will set you up should you decide to complete the event.
Paul Elshaug, who completed Tough Mudder this year, encouraged anyone interested in taking on Tough Mudder to take part in the training program.
"You definitely need strong training and preparation behind you before taking on something like Tough Mudder." Mr Elshaug said.
"Tough Mudder was a fantastic experience! It was definitely a challenge and there was a great sense of achievement, especially having started and finished as a team. I'd recommend Tough Mudder to anyone looking for a unique event, and a solid challenge to be proud of completing."
Sessions will be held twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday, with a third session to be added closer to the event.
The training program starts on 3 September at Aquamoves. Participants are asked to bring a towel, drink bottle, workout clothes, bathers and sensible footwear to each session.
