The outdoor pools at Aquamoves, Mooroopna, Tatura and Merrigum will remain open for the school holidays following a decision to extend the season.
"The outdoor pool season would normally finish this weekend, but we decided to keep the pools open because the school holidays are coming up," Mr Tranter said.
"This will give parents another option for fun school holiday activities for their children.
"The weather has been excellent recently, and we want to give more people the opportunity to use our facilities."
The outdoor pool at Aquamoves will open Monday to Friday from 6.00am to 9.00am and midday to 7.00pm. On Saturday and Sunday the pool will be open from 8.30am to 7.00pm.
The Merrigum outdoor pool is open from 3.30pm to 6.30pm during school terms and 1.00pm to 7.00pm on weekends and public holidays.
The Tatura pool is open between midday and 7.00pm every day.
The Mooroopna pool is open between midday and 7.00pm every day.
If the temperature at 7.00pm exceeds 30 degrees celsius the pool will remain open until 8.00pm.
If the temperature is less than 22 degrees the pool will be closed.
The pool season will finish on Sunday 6 April.
