Aquamoves is hosting a Commonwealth Games activities day on Sunday 5 March to raise funds for Relay for Life.
Aquamoves Relay for Life team member, Megan Birks said the day’s activities will be a great way for participants to spend time with friends and family while supporting a great cause.
“The events cater to all abilities with feature events like the 200 metre medley, relay swims and plenty of novelty events like mat, life jacket and cup races,” explains Ms Birks.
“For the last two years Aquamoves has been involved in Relay for Life events either through sponsorship or entering a team,” says Ms Birks.
“This year we are starting early in our campaign to raise money for cancer research and the Commonwealth Games provide a perfect opportunity,” adds Ms Birks.
“After the activities there will be a gold coin donation sausage sizzle and certificates will be presented to those who participated,” says Ms Birks.
“Staff on the day are volunteering their time so that we can ensure we raise as many funds as possible for Relay for Life,” says Ms Birks.
The Aquamoves Commonwealth Games activities day runs from 11.00am to 2.00pm. The cost to participate in the activities will be a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going to Relay for Life.
