There are a number of events taking place this weekend in Greater Shepparton.
Grand Prix
Get roadside to experience the thrill of the 2013 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix when the Swisse Formula 1® Two-seater arrives in Shepparton. Driven by V8 super car driver Cam McConville and former Minardi F1 team owner Paul Stoddard the Australian Grand Prix in partnership with the Greater Shepparton City Council will put on a spectacular show along High Street and in the Maude Street Mall from 9.30am.
The F1 team will then move to the Shepparton Showgrounds between 12pm-4pm for driving demonstrations, photo opportunities and giveaways
Park & Ride Service
A free shuttle service will operate between 9am and 4pm from the Shepparton Library in Marungi Street to transfer spectators to the CBD and Showgrounds. There is still plenty of parking available in the CBD with more than 4000 parks within 1km of the event.
Road Closures
High St Shepparton between Wyndham and Corio Streets will be closed to through traffic from 9:15am to 11.30am. Please observe all traffic instructions.

Shepparton Festival - weekend activities
SheppARTon Festival program highlights this weekend include: Emerge to the Edge (Fri 8 March), a cabaret burlesque double bill at the Shepparton Showgrounds; a Literary Lunch (Sat 9 March) with writer and broadcaster Ramona Koval at the Park Lake.
Celebrating this year's theme, the crowning event of the festival is the Emerging Voices Community Performance (Sat 9 March), taking place in a breathtaking geoglyph in the shape of a Long-necked turtle carved into the canola fields exposing the rich, red soil at Tallis Winery in Dookie. This massive 300mx400m hillside carving will come to life as children carrying turtle egg shaped lanterns walk in procession through the furrows. A mass multicultural choir will sing the specially commissioned festival theme song. Everyone can participate in this event, with choir and lantern making workshops running throughout the Festival. Book a ticket on the festival bus and wear covered shoes.
Sunday 10 March is packed with exciting events; Relax at the Poets Brunch with inspiring young poet Cameron Lowe; take a Film makers workshop titled ‘Making films People Want to Watch' join the Ukulele workshop and then perform later at Victoria Park Lake; Chill out at Chillaxation, music and activities for youth then at 8pm see ‘Beauty & the Beast' on the giant 8 metre screen at the free Moonlight Cinema; get along to Shepparton Shorts Short Film Festival, with an award going to the best film on the festival theme ‘Emerging Voices'; Opera in the Orchard (Monday 11 March), with La Prima Opera bringing romance, love, betrayal and murder in a program of old school dramatic opera highlights, taking place in the gorgeous Findon House Gardens.

Mad Cow Mud Run
The inaugural Mad Cow Mud Run will be happening in Shepparton on Sunday March 10 with more 500 competitors from all over Victoria.

Macedonian Soccer Cup
The 2013 Macedonian Soccer cup will be hosted by the Shepparton Soccer Club and will see nine Macedonian soccer clubs from around Victoria come to Shepparton to play at McEwen Reserve and the multipurpose fields at the Shepparton Sports Precinct on Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10. There will be more 24 teams and around 600 players for the weekend and supporters across the weekend.
