Greater Shepparton City Council's main offices will close from 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2013 and re-open at 8.15am on Thursday 2 January 2014.
An after-hours call-out service will operate during this time and special arrangements are in place for core services.
The following is a summary of key services and their opening and closing days and times around Christmas and New Year.
Greater Shepparton Business Centre
Greater Shepparton Business Centre will be closed from 3pm on Tuesday 24 December and reopen at 8.15am on Thursday 2 January.
Visitor Centre
The Visitor Centre is open every day except Christmas Day and will be open for late night trading on 22 December (to coincide with Carols by Candlelight).
Aquamoves
Aquamoves is closed on Christmas Day and open at reduced hours on Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and New Years Day. For a full list of operating hours, visit www.aquamoves.com.au.
Shepparton Sports Stadium
The Shepparton Sports Stadium is closed from Monday 23 December and will reopen on Monday 6 January.
Shepparton Art Museum
Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is closed on Christmas and New Years Day. SAM is open every other day from 10am to 4pm and on public holidays between 1pm and 4pm.
Riverlinks
Riverlinks will close at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December and reopen at 10am on 2 January. Tickets for shows can still be purchased online from www.riverlinksvenues.com.au in this time.
Aged Services
Home Care services will NOT be available on Public Holidays including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Australia Day. These days are:

Personal Care will be provided as normal, unless you cancel your service.

Meals on Wheels will continue as usual throughout the Christmas break.

Waste Services
A number of changes will occur to waste collections. There will be no collections on Christmas Day or New Years Day and collections which are normally done on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will be collected a day later (Wednesday collections on Thursday, Thursday collections on Friday and Friday collections on Saturday). Collections will return to normal from Monday 6 January.
Kindergartens and childcare
Council's kindergartens will finish the week of 20 December. Arthur Dickmann, Frank Pullar and Nancy Vibert centres will close from Monday 23 December. The Family Day Care Office will be closed from 23 December. All Maternal and Child Health sessions will be closed from 5pm, Friday 20 December. A reduced service for new babies will be available at Balaclava Road MCH Centre, 205 Balaclava Road, Shepparton, Riverside Plaza MCH Centre, Shop 21C 8025 GV Highway, Shepparton and Mooroopna Hub MCH Centre, 15 Morrell Street, Mooroopna. Animal Shelter
The Shepparton Animal Shelter will be closed from 3pm on 24 December until 8.15am on 2 January. If you need to contact a Community Ranger in this time (for emergency purposes), contact Council and follow the prompts.
