The Aquamoves Gym is now open 20 hours a day, seven days a week! We’ve increased opening hours to give you greater flexibility, accessibility and convenience.
Extended Conditions of Entry (Out of Hours)
Membership Tag
- You will require your RFID Membership Tag to access the Centre during un-staffed hours and must scan this at the main entry.
- You will also be required to complete the Aquamoves Safety Induction and Pre-Screening Questionnaire before you gain access to the Centre and/or receive your Membership Tag.
- For safety reasons, you must not provide your Membership Tag to another member to access the Centre during un-staffed hours at any time.
- If your Membership Tag is lost or stolen you must notify Aquamoves immediately. You can still access the club during staffed hours.
Emergency / Security Procedures
You acknowledge you have been shown and given instruction on the following:
- FOB Membership Tag to gain access to the Centre
- Email address for communications
- Shown staff how to open door on your own
- Door must be closured behind you – regardless of another person behind you.
- Information and Emergency Station
- Defibrillator, First Aid Kit location
- Incident Log
- Duress lanyards and hardwired buttons
- CCTV locations
- Emergency evacuation plans and exits. You will exit the building immediately when the fire/evacuation alarm sounds.
- Received an explanation of the Centre’s staffed and non-staffed hours including every SUNDAY no access to the centre or gym from 5pm – 9pm
- Explain that single unit Group Fitness members cannot access the gym
- Explain that during extended Summer hours – 30 Nov 2024 to 2 Feb 2025 this service is accessible 4am – Midnight. (after this time it will revert back)
- Had photo taken for membership by reception
- Missed direct debit – no after-hours access
Equipment
You have been given instructions on how to use high risk equipment and will follow all safety requirements for use of:
- Treadmill (Step on the Treadmill while the belt is not moving. Attach the safety clip/emergency stop button. To activate Treadmill press its Quick Start button - it will begin moving at approximately 1km per hour).
- Bench Press (not to be used without a spotter. Alternatively you can use the racks with safety arms or Chest Press Machine).
- You will not use equipment if you are not sure on how to use it safely and will seek further assistance from Aquamoves Gym Instructors during staffed hours before using equipment.
- If you find or come across a faulty piece of equipment you will cease using it immediately and place an ‘Out of Order’ sign on the equipment. If possible, please make a note of the fault using the Incident Report Forms located in the First Aid Station.
- By using the Aquamoves facility you acknowledge certain inherent risks in relation to the use of the facility and equipment. You acknowledge that those risks and safety procedures have been explained.
General Information
- I will read and follow all safety instructions displayed on equipment and throughout the Centre.
- The Pool Hall, Wet Change Rooms, Outdoor Pool and reception area are strictly out of bounds during unstaffed hours. All out of bounds areas are fully alarmed and the entire Centre is monitored by CCTV at all times.
- I understand that with a single unit Group Fitness membership, I cannot access the gym and may only join the group fitness class offered during the out-of-hours timeslot.
- I understand that access is extended to 20 hours. Members may scan into the Centre between 4.00am and 11.59pm. Members will be unable to scan into the Centre between 12.00am to 3.59am. Any member that is in the centre at 11.59pm is permitted to finish their workout and then leave the Centre after the 12.00am cut off.
- At their discretion, Aquamoves may terminate any membership agreement without notice for any non-compliance of this agreement or any behaviour or action that they deem to be inappropriate.
- I fully understand and accept that if I intentionally activate a Duress Button without reason or for a reason that is deemed to be inappropriate by Aquamoves, that you will be charged $150 and be suspended from using the Centre until payment is made or your membership is revoked.
- Under no circumstances must you allow access to non-members and/or people who you know on the door. Doing so may put you and/or other members at risk of injury or harm and could result in your membership privileges being cancelled.
- Your FOB membership card must be presented to the RFID scanner at the access door every time you enter into the facility. If you have lost your card please advise reception as you will be required to purchase a replacement card, at a cost of $20.00.
- I fully understand and accept that if I intentionally let someone tailgate behind me to access the Centre without reason or for a reason that is deemed to be inappropriate by Aquamoves, then I will have my extended access suspended or revoked.
- I acknowledge that I am aware of the inherent risks of injury or ill health resulting from the use of the services and from participation in exercise programs. I agree to participate in activities at my own risk and take responsibility whether supervised or not by Aquamoves staff.
- Aquamoves is equipped with Duress Lanyards and hard wired emergency buttons. These are designed to alert authorities in the event you or other members are either threatened or in need of help.
- The consumption of alcohol, smoking and drug use is not permitted in Aquamoves. Alcoholic beverages, drugs, weapons or any other substances or objects which are prohibited by law are not permitted to be brought into the Centre.
- All patrons must behave in a manner that is safe and respectful for the enjoyment and safety of other patrons using the facility. Any behaviour which is considered offensive, inappropriate or interferes with the enjoyment of other patrons within the Centre will be acted upon and may result in the membership being suspended or revoked.
- Occupational Health and Safety – for hygiene purposes and safety reasons you are required to use a towel and wear closed footwear at all times whilst using the facility. As common courtesy you will be required to wipe down any sweat left on pieces of equipment, using one of the Centre’s hygiene wipes from the dispensers.
- As a member of Aquamoves, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greater Shepparton City Council its servants and agents, and each of them in connection with all claims resulting from damage, loss, death or injury whatsoever which may otherwise be brought or made or claimed by the Aquamoves member against Greater Shepparton City Council, except to the extent that Greater Shepparton City Council is negligent.
- I fully understand and accept that if a direct debit payment is missed, that after-hours access is not available until the outstanding fee has been paid in full.
