Aquamoves is again running the women only bathing program as well as hosting a new men only session for 2005.

Operating outside the Centre’s normal business hours, the programs are proving popular with an average of 80 people attending each session.

Centre Manager Leanne Mulcahy said there is a proven demand for single gender bathing. “Despite the cooler weather, attendance numbers have been steadily increasing and patrons appreciate the opportunity to swim in an environment in which they feel comfortable.”

“It’s rewarding to see so many people enjoying the many health benefits associated with swimming,” said Ms Mulcahy.  “Based on current attendance numbers, it is expected the program will continue until the first weekend in October.”

Men only swimming sessions are held on Saturday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and women only sessions are from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Sunday. The current program will finish on Sunday 2 October.
