Current access under COVID-19 restrictions

NEW BEGINNINGS

Our gym, group fitness classes, indoor 25m pool and hydrotherapy pool are re-opening!

From Monday 22 June 2020 we are excited to once again welcome you through our doors! As previously indicated, access to the centre will be provided via a session based online booking and payment system.

Bookings for our first sessions will become available in the Aquamoves Portal from this Friday 19 June 2020.

All memberships will remain frozen, as this will offer you the most value and flexibility due to the limited facility access available under the current restrictions.  We want to re-assure you that plenty of notice will be given prior to any future un-freezing of your membership.

It is extremely important to note that this is our first phase of re-opening. We understand and appreciate that initial demand may exceed the number of sessions available and we ask for your patience and understanding in this.

For answers to the questions you may have, please check out our frequently asked questions below.

I’m a Member, what happens to my membership from Monday 22 June 2020?

All memberships will remain frozen and Aquamoves will operate as a user pays facility. With only some facilities available in a limited capacity, we believe this discounted session based entry will provide you with the most flexibility and greatest value.

I’m a Visit Pass Holder, what happens to my Visit Pass from Monday 22 June 2020?

All Visit Passes will remain frozen and Aquamoves will operate as a user pays facility. With only some facilities available in a limited capacity, we believe this discounted session based entry will provide you with the most flexibility and greatest value.

Why are there no Over 60s sessions?

Due to those aged 60 and over considered vulnerable to COVID-19 by the Chief Health Officer, we have made the decision not to timetable Over 60s classes during this phase. Over 60s may choose to attend regular sessions if they wish.

I'm a Youth Member, can I attend outside the usual times specified for my membership?

Yes, Youth Members may attend by booking any of the session times available. If you are 14 or 15 years of age, please make yourself known to the Gym Instructor before you begin working out.

What facilities and services are currently unavailable?

The below facilities and services are currently unavailable:

  • Indoor Leisure Pool
  • Spas
  • Sauna
  • Swimming Lessons
  • Occasional Childcare
  • Health Suites
  • Verve Café
  • Lockers
  • Water Coolers
  • Showers
  • Facility Hire

Are you offering Gym Assessments?

At this stage Gym Assessments are not currently available. We will review this on an ongoing basis.

Why are swimming lessons not recommencing?

During phase two, we can only have a maximum of 16 people in the pool. We have carefully selected the services that we have reopened to ensure we remain within these limits. For a large multipurpose facility such as Aquamoves, this means some services, such as swimming lessons, cannot recommence during this phase. The large numbers associated with this program means we would regularly exceed facility capacity.

We are hopeful of restrictions easing further in the coming months so that we can recommence our swimming lessons.

When will the remainder of the facilities open?

We will continue to monitor the advice provided by the Victorian State Government, however it is unclear at this stage as to when the remainder of the facilities will reopen. We will continue to provide updates to our members and customers as more information becomes available.

Can I hire the facilities?

At this stage we are unable to recommence facility hire and booking arrangements as the large numbers associated with these services mean we would regularly exceed room and facility capacity.

How do I get in contact?

To get in touch, please email customerservice@aquamoves.com.au or phone 5832 9400 during weekdays between 8.30am and 5.00pm.
